Holiday show featuring local dance companies benefits SCHS chorus and drama

Georgia Youth Ballet and Carla’s Dance Factory Performing Company will be presenting a new holiday production to benefit the Chorus and Drama Departments at Sandy Creek High School.

Sponsored by the Choral Boosters, this first ever collaboration brings the talented dancers from GYB and CDF together with the gifted members of the SCHS chorus and special guest vocalists to create a wonderful holiday show designed to entertain the entire family. Read More»

Christmas Story Reading and Open House this weekend at Holliday-Dorsey-Fife museum

On Sat Dec. 4, the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife Museum hosts their annual open house (free admission) and will host a special Christmas Story Reading at 11 a.m. This will be a selected story from local author Robert Burch and will last about 15 - 20 minutes.

Throughout that day, visitors can enjoy the Victorian Christmas theme of the house festooned in holiday décor that was typical from 1860 to 1890. The indoor tree will be decorated with hand made ornaments.

A small exhibit of vintage toys is featured and holiday greenery throughout the house all creates a festive experience. Read More»

Hometown Holiday in PTC, Dec. 4

The annual Hometown Holiday in Peachtree City will take place Saturday, Dec. 4.  Festivities will begin with the Candy Cane Hunt at 5:15 pm on Shakerag Knoll. Hometown Holiday continues at 6 p.m. with a musical program at ‘The Fred’, sponsored by Sam’s Club.
