Prior to an appearance on AMC’s “The Walking Dead” last fall and a role in this summer’s raunchy comedy “Bad Teacher,” Adrian Kali Turner had a role in a Hollywood-Bollywood production called “My Name is Khan.” The film was one of the highest grossing Bollywood film outside of India. Turner, in a recent interview, stated the reception to the film and the overall experience was amazing. It certainly prepared him for some of the higher profile gigs that came his way afterwards. See 'Rango' at Fayetteville's Movie Under the Stars this Friday

This Friday, July 15, Xfinity along with Fayetteville Main Street is hosting a free “Movie Under the Stars” at the Villages Amphitheater. Beginning at 7 p.m., families are encouraged to come out for an evening of fun, music, and entertainment on the big screen.

Leading up to the movie, attendees can enjoy the free, family game zone and bubble area. Movie concessions (popcorn, snacks) will also be available for sale throughout the evening.

The winners of last year’s Miss Pride of Fayette County Pageant show off their red, white and blue dresses as they participate in the annual July 4 parade in Peachtree City Monday morning. The event kicked off the city’s festivities which culminated with an early-starting fireworks display over Lake Peachtree. Dixieland to host Fourth of July Fireworks Display

Visitors to Dixieland Amusement Park this 4th of July will be treated to an eye popping display of video, lights, sound and fire as Dixieland hosts The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. It is slated to be one of the largest fireworks displays in the state at over 17 minutes long and a shell count into the thousands. In addition to the normal effects guests are used to seeing in a standard fireworks show, Dixieland is going the extra mile to feature special effects such as creamora fireballs, line rockets and four detonation sites though out the park. Open Mic Winner Final Answer Band to open for the classic party band

One of the best-known party bands from the 1960s, the latest version of The Swingin’ Medallions will be in concert Saturday, July 2 at the Frederick Brown Jr. “The Fred” Amphitheater to kick off the Independence Day celebrations in Peachtree City.
