Local movie with local talent premieres in PTC

Pretty much everybody in the area of Coweta and Fayette counties knows that Hollywood has come to southwest metro Atlanta. But how many know that this area is also producing movies with local talent? That was the case recently when the short movie “Payton’s Pond” shot in Heard County featuring a local cast had its premiere at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center.

‘The Walking Dead’ to return to Senoia in 2013

Looks like America’s top-rated television show will be returning to Senoia and Coweta County for its fourth season. Stalwart Films spokesman Mike Riley made the announcement Thursday at the meeting of the Coweta County Commission as he thanked the county and its residents for their support of the AMC network’s hit show, “The Walking Dead.”

"The Walking Dead" will be coming back for a fourth season and will be associated with Senoia’s Raleigh Studios, Riley said, adding that pre-production for the show will probably begin in March. Read More»

“The Walking Dead” star Scott Wilson (who plays Hershel Green) lost a leg in Episode 1 of the show’s third season after being bitten by a “walker.” But he got it back just in time (purposefully grabbing his right leg) to serve, along with his wife Heavenly, as grand marshal in Saturday’s Light Up Senoia Christmas parade.
