Rawson Road temporarily closed for road work

Coweta County road crews on Wednesday began working on a collapsed drain pipe on Rawson Road that has required the temporary closure of the street. The pipe is expected to be replaced and the road re-opened on March 16.

Coweta County Road Department Director William Cawthorne in a March 4 letter said the cross drain pipe had completely collapsed and is causing the roadway to be undermined which could lead to the collapse of the roadway.

Approximately a quarter-mile in length, Rawson Road intersects with Bob Smith Road approximately one mile north of Willis Road in east Coweta. Read More»
