McIntosh teams open with big wins

The Chiefs Amanda Bartholomew scored two goals in the girls victory.

The McIntosh girls and boys soccer teams opened the first round of the 2013 state playoffs with a dominating doubleheader performance at home Tuesday night. 
The girls defeated the Patriots of Northside High School 6-0, and the boys dominated the Thomas County Yellow Jackets in a 10-0 victory.
The girls started strong, scoring four of their six goals in the first half. Gabby Seiler set the tone for the Chiefs knocking in the first goal with 34 minutes to play in the first half.  Read More»

Big day for baseball in Senoia

The Senoia Area Athletics hosted their first USSSA tournament April 27 and 28. There were 33 teams entered from around the region with 54 games being played on Saturday alone, by far the biggest day ever for baseball in Senoia. Perry Springman and Keith Johnson to appear at COS this weekend

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City welcomes two guest worship leaders May 4-5. On Saturday at 7 p.m. Perry Springman will be the guest musician. Springman is lead vocalist and songwriter for Perry and The Poor Boys, a band from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Formerly a youth minister, Springman now devotes his time to his music and to World Vision. He will be en route to a Worship Vision ministry in the Dominican Republic. First Baptist Church Peachtree City celebrates 40 years of ministry

Members and guests of First Baptist Church Peachtree City (FBCPTC) gathered on the grounds after the Sunday service on April 28 for an old-fashioned pot luck luncheon to celebrate the church’s 40th anniversary. First Baptist was formally constituted on March 11, 1973.

Holy Spirit ministry coming to FFC

The Holy Spirit Encounter ministry is coming May 3-5 to Fayette Family Church at 1729 Ga. Hwy. 54 W. in Fayetteville. Those attending will hear and experience biblical teachings, worship, testimonies, and more with focus on the Holy Spirit. There is no cost; however, registration is requested for the encounter ministry. Confession of Faith classes offered

The Covenant Presbyterian Church Builders Sunday School Class will journey through a few chapters of the Westminster Confession of Faith this Spring and invites members of the community to join in. The class will begin Sunday, May 5 at 9:45 a.m. The confession offers an encapsulation of the doctrines of grace, a comprehensive summation of the Gospel, and a systematic approach to the main doctrines of the Christian faith and speaks to every Christian. Heritage Baptist to host family conference
