Inez Stallard Meade, 93, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Mullens, West Va., passed away on April 20, 2013.

Born in Scott County, Va., Mrs. Meade was the daughter of the late Orban H. and Arlie Emily Compton Stallard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, George W. Meade; a sister and brother-in-law Bernice and Jack Burchfield; brothers Glenn and Fred Stallard and step-mother Georgia Stallard. Read More»

Jesse W. Shaddix

Mr. Jesse W. Shaddix passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the age of 87. He was born on May 5, 1925 to the late William James Shaddix and Ida Pearl Lashley Shaddix.

Mr. Shaddix graduated from Lanett High School in 1943 and joined the Army-Air Force. While on basic training at Keesler Air Force base, he married his high school sweetheart, Rachel Ernestine Gay, on October 4, 1943. Fayette Samaritans benefit from local donations and volunteers

Founded in 1991 by 11 Fayette County churches, the Fayette Samaritans carry out their mission to support those in need in Fayette County.

Today, over 45 local churches provide support to this worthy charity. In 2012, roughly 2000 adults and 1588 children under the age of 18 representing 1,100 households were served in their time of need. Read More»

Satyen Guha-Biswas of Peachtree City died on April 13, 2013 at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Inge; daughter & son-in-law, Porscha & Douglas Ober; son, Dr. Michael Biswas; grandchildren Calvin, Christina, and Alexandria, a brother and a sister in India, and a brother in London. 

Satyen was born in Patna, India. He had 5 brothers and one sister. Satyen went  to the prestigious  Bengal Engineering College on a scholarship and graduated in 1955 in Civil Engineering. He participated in sports for his college and was famous for winning many prizes.  Read More»
