Mr. Frank W. Jones Jr of Jonesboro, formerly of Fayetteville , died March 2, 2010.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife Erma C. Jones. He retired from Atlanta Gas Light with 41 years of service.

Mrs. Ruth Turner Landrum, 94, of Fayetteville , passed away March 2, 2010.

Mrs. Landrum was a long-time member of Tyrone First Baptist Church . She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Landrum.

Walter Bernice Ivey, 84, of Fayetteville, went home to God on March 1, 2010.

He served 23 years in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Fayetteville. ‘March for Meals’ to benefit Fayette’s Meals on Wheels

Fayette Senior Services will host its second annual “March for Meals,” a 1 Mile/5K Fun Walk/Run on Saturday, March 20 to benefit Fayette’s Meals On Wheels program.

This year the race will begin and end at Fayette Senior Services Center, 4 Center Drive in Fayetteville, across from the Fayette County Justice Center. This event is held in conjunction with the Meals on Wheels Association of America’s national “March for Meals” campaign to raise awareness for senior hunger. Read More»
