Kathryn Reid Tramonte engaged to Andrew Maurice Willenborg

Mr. and Mrs. Anthony R. Tramonte Jr. of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Reid Tramonte, to Andrew Maurice Willenborg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Willenborg of Johns Creek. He is also the son of the late Cynthia Willenborg.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Starr’s Mill High in Fayetteville. She will receive her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech in December 2010. She will work as an engineer for ExxonMobil. Read More»

Neighbors in The Treillage sub-division in Peachtree City gathered recently for their 13th annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Each year the neighborhood meets on the corner of Bob and Carol Preacher’s home to light the 25 foot tall magnolia tree. Everyone enjoys hot chocolate, cookies, carols and fellowship. Mrs. Virginia May White, 94, formerly of Fayetteville

Mrs. Virginia May White, of Christian City, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on December 19, 2010 at the age of 94.

Mrs. White was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. (Ret.) Bill White and one brother.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Blackford of Lithia Springs, Joyce Kay White of Dahlonega; son Danny James White and daughter-in-law Margaret White of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and one nephew. Read More»

Emily Erwin Sweet, age 72, passed away in Peachtree City, Georgia on Sunday, December 19th, 2010 after a prolonged and courageous battle with colon cancer.

Mrs. Frances Black Tanksley, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away on December 17, 2010.

Mrs. Tanksley was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Forest Park and after 40 years of dedication, she retired from Ford Motor Company.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Tanksley.

Hugh Edward Hudgins, 80, of Fayetteville

Hugh Edward Hudgins, 80, of Fayetteville, died December 14, 2010.

He worked for Ford Motor Co. for 34 years and was a member of Christ Church at Whitewater for 24 years. Mr. Hudgins enjoyed gardening and yard work and was known for his tomatoes.
