Jessica Lynne Piester engaged to Adam Ross Demerly

Mr. and Mrs. Todd Piester of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lynne Piester, to Adam Ross Demerly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Demerly of Lawrenceville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Piester of Chatham, N.Y., and Helen Hartman of Morgantown, Pa., and the late Robert Hartman. She is a graduate of The University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biological science. Rickie Lamar Davis, age 53

Mr. Rickie Lamar Davis, age 53 of Brooks, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Davis was born on October 27, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Sylvester Davis and the late Mary Peters Davis. He was also preceded in death by his brother Harry Davis.

Survivors include his brothers and sister-in-law, Gene and Judy Davis, Vester Davis; sisters and brother-in-law, Sue Gardner, Judy and Ralph Porter; several nieces and nephews. Read More»

Johnny N. Head, 73, of Peachtree City, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

He was born in Jacksonville, FL on February 25, 1938. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served four years as an electrical engineer. Upon leaving the Air Force, he went into the pre-stressed concrete business where he remained until retirement. Read More»

Mr. Bobby McWilliams, 78, of Sharpsburg, went to be with his Lord on May 14, 2011, surrounded by his loved ones at his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Whatley McWilliams.

He is survived by his daughter Diane & Eddie Morgan of Tyrone and his son Jimmy & Cindy Kelly of Tyrone; grandchildren David & Melissa Stapp, Courtney Morgan, Cassie Valentin, Michelle Bias, Tiffany Pate and David Scott Arrington; great-granddaughters Hayley Stapp and Jaelyn Bias. Read More»

Margo Jean Burnett, 50, of Loganville, passed away on May 12, 2011.

Mrs. Burnett was a loving wife and mother, and her two sons were her life. She worked at Wal-Mart for twoand a half years. She was a people person who was always willing to help others in any way possible. Her family remembers her as an encourager who always wanted them to do their best.

Ms. Howell was born on June 7, 1924 in Sycamore, GA, to the late Giles and Bessie Webb. During WWII, she served with the American Red Cross at Cochran Field in Macon, GA.
