Lee to speak at Lenten lunch tomorrow
Lenten lunches will continue at First United Methodist Church each Thursday throughout Lent (March 4, 11, 18 and 25) and will end with a lunch on April 1. All lunches will begin at 11:30 a.m. The March 4 lunch will be hosted by the Friendship circle. Dr. Dave Lee will be the speaker. FFUMC is at 175 E. Lanier Ave. (Ga. The bride-elect is a high school graduate of Harrison High School in Kennesaw and a college graduate of the University of West Georgia in Carrollton where she received a master’s degree in speech language pathology. Mrs. Hilda Bruce Farr, 93, of Peachtree City, Ga., died Feb. 23, 2010. She was an elementary school teacher in Tyrone, Ga., and a member of Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Floy Farr and son Thomas Farr. Emily Elizabeth Caldwell Rhodes, Fayetteville, died Feb. 21, 2010. She received her master’s degree from North Georgia College. She had worked with Georgia Mountain Crafts in Gainesville, and was retired from Hall County's Sardis Church Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny I. and Irene Rowland Goodman, her husband of 33 years, Lewis Sandford Crews, brothers, Grady Goodman, Rowland Goodman, Bill Goodman, Dorsey Goodman, Hershall Goodman, and Johnny Goodman, and sisters, Sadie Eubanks, Julia Perry, and Doris Williams.
