Taylor Allison Elzey engaged to Carl Lowell Belshause

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Elzey of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Allison Elzey, to Carl Lowell Belshause, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Belshause of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business where she earned a bachelor of business administration with a focus in real estate. Melissa Woodbridge, a 2011 graduate of McIntosh High School, entered the Creative Self-Expression Show contest, The Great Frame Up’s art competition last year and was one of the two finalists.

As one of the two winners, Woodbridge won a $2,000 scholarship and a trip to Santa Monica to meet Jane Seymour, the official spokesperson of the competition, earlier this summer. Read More»

Mrs. Helen Lucille Bergquist, 90, of Fayetteville, formerly of Conyers, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011.

She was a loving mother and grandmother; who had an eye for decorating and loved gardening. Her professional career included working at General Motors and Rich’s Department Store.

Be at Shamrock Park, Saturday, Aug. 20, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Also be sure to bring along a lawn chair and a hearty appetite. There will be free food, games and entertainment just like at a family reunion. Alyce Irene Menet, 89, of Newnan

Alyce Irene Menet, age 89, of Newnan, GA went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2011.

She was born in Chicago, Ill., on July 28, 1922 to the late Eric and Olga Anderson. She lived in Vista, CA for many years and was a retired employee of the state of California. She moved to Newnan in 2002 and she was a member of Peachtree City Church of Christ.

Susan Levine, 62, of Riverdale

Susan Levine, 62, of Riverdale, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2011.

She was born to the late Charles and Thelma Adler in Akron, Ohio, and in 1980, moved to Georgia, where she found her passion as a cantorial soloist at Congregation B’nai Israel.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Raphael Levine; her son, Scott Isaac and his wife, Kerry; her daughter, Tara Hughes and her husband, Eugene; her grandchildren, Nicholas and Kate Isaac, and Sabrina Hughes; her sisters, Robin Ledridge and Carol Montesinos; and her brother, Tommy Israel. Mr. John Keith Howell, 54, of Tyrone

Mr. John Keith Howell, age 54, of Tyrone, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Howell was a Sunday school teacher at Crossroads Church of Newnan, GA, and was employed by Delta Airlines for 32-years as a Lead Aircraft Mechanic.

Joey Corvino, 24, of Peachtree City

Joey Corvino passed away on August 9, 2011 at the age of 24.

Joey was a 2005 graduate of McIntosh High School and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
