Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Joshua D. White graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Mr. S. Lanier Price, 80, of Fayetteville

Mr. S. Lanier Price, age 80 of Fenwick Commons, Fayetteville, Georgia died Tuesday, March 23, 2010.

Mr. Price was born in Butts County on October 29, 1929, the son of the late Smith Price and Larue Maddox Price. He was a Real Estate Broker and Certified Appraiser with Griswold and Associates. He joined the U. S. Air Force December 1949 and was honorable discharged April 1952, was a member of Atlanta Senior Golf Association, Tabernacle Baptist Church, and an avid Auburn Tiger fan. Mr. William Edward Landrum, of Tyrone

Mr. William Edward Landrum of Tyrone, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010.

In the early 1960’s Mr. Landrum was drafted into the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of Sergeant in the First Armored Division. He retired as President of C.A. Rafter Company Inc. in East Point after 43 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Landrum; son, Chuck Landrum and his wife LaVann of Newnan; sister, Linda Geer and her husband Terry of Eatonton; grandchildren, Andrew Landrum, Ansley Landrum, Jack Weaver and Sam Weaver. Read More»
