Karen Romano-Taylor to be commissioned as minister

Karen Romano-Taylor

Karen Romano-Taylor of Peachtree City will be installed as a commissioned minister of hospital ministry in the Charismatic Episcopal Church and will also receive the designation of licensed liturgical minister in services on Sunday, Jan. 25.

Her commissioning and licensure service will take place at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Ga. Highway 34, Sharpsburg. David Epps, bishop of the Diocese of the Mid-South will officiate. Read More»

Retired Army Lt. Col. Norbert L. Campbell, 84, of Peachtree City, Ga., formerly of Fayetteville, N.C. and Shamokin, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 in Peachtree City, Ga.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, Ga. Burial with full military honors will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.

She was born to Mr. & Mrs. James Allen Sibley on December 21, 1927 in Gay, Ga. and was raised in Woodbury, Ga. She graduated from Georgia Southwestern College where she was a member of the Kappa Gamma Sigma Sorority. She then attended the Piedmont School of Nursing in Atlanta. Rose Ciandella, 84, died peacefully on Dec. 7, 2014 after a brief illness.

Born Rose Prezioso in Jersey City, N.J., on July 1, 1930, she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before meeting Patrick Ciandella at an annual dance in Jersey City. The two married in 1952, the union was broken only by Patrick's passing in 2012, at age 89. Rose raised three children – Laurie and sons, Robert and Donald – in Jersey City, Berkeley Heights, N.J., and Massapequa, N.Y., on the south shore of Long Island. Read More»
