Shepherd’s Flock Singers at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will present “What’s Up, Zak?” on Saturday, Apr. 27 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Apr. 28 at 11 a.m. The musical tells two Biblical stories, the healing of Blind Bartimaeus and the conversion of Zacchaeus, a despised tax collector. PTC Presbyterian preschool plans open house, art show

First Presbyterian Kindergarten and Preschool will host an Open House and Art Show on Thursday, April 25 from 5 – 7 p.m. Students will display their artistic creations in the classrooms and hallways. First Presbyterian Kindergarten and Preschool is located at 206 Willowbend Rd., Peachtree City.

Ballroom dance offered at Brooks UMC

From May 4-June 1, two ballroom dances will be taught at Brooks United Methodist Church in Brooks. The classes last four weeks and each class is an hour and a half, from 7-8:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per person for the entire session, or $10 per person as a drop-in. No partner is required. 

Two certified dance instructors will guide students with proper foot and styling movements.

Shearer featured in simulcast

Harps Crossing Baptist Church in Fayetteville will offer a live simulcast from Richmond, Va.,  featuring Bible teacher and best-selling author Priscilla Shirer, Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include lunch. For information or to purchase tickets, call 770-461-5318.

Blood drive planned at Holy Trinity April 29

Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus at 101 Walt Banks Road in Peachtree City will sponsor an American Red Cross Blood Drive Monday, April 29, from noon to 6 p.m. in Loreta Hall.

The drive is open to people of all faith. During the period of April 1 to June 30, 2013, all donors of blood and platelets will be automatically entered to win one of three $1,000 gift cards. Read More»

The Peachtree City Seventh Day Adventist Church will host a Power Pac Youth Rally with Seth Pierce Friday and Saturday, April 26-27. David Neil Saylor, 36, of Peachtree City, lost his battle with cancer on April 16, 2013.

He graduated from McIntosh High School in 1994. He attended Wingate University, where he played on the men's varsity soccer team and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity, graduating in 1999. He worked as a crisis counselor in the residential behavioral health program at KidsPeace. He was also a valued player on the Majestic Soccer Team in Atlanta. Read More»

Ricky Lee Gauthier, age 65 of Alpharetta, Ga. died April 12, 2013.

Rick was born in 1947 to Rudolph and Edith Kendall Gauthier in Louisville, Ky., and attended Clarksville, Indiana public schools after the family relocated.
