Doris Rey Harwell, of Peachtree City, passed away Jan. 27, 2012. She was a member of Grace UMC, a graduate of Commercial High School, member of Cooper Music Club and Rareover Garden Club.

Oscar B. Harper, age 91, of College Park

Mr. Oscar B. (O.B.) Harper, a longtime resident of College Park, Ga., passed away Jan, 25, 2012 at the age of 91.

Mildred Wells, 92, of Peachtree City

Mildred Wells, 92, passed away Jan. 16, 2012. Born in 1919, Mildred grew up in the small community of Knoxville, Mo., the daughter of a farmer who raised hogs and grew corn and other crops.

She and her sister rode a pony to a one-room schoolhouse each day, and their Dad built a small shed to shelter the pony at the school during cold winter Missouri days. She attended high school in nearby Richmond, Mo., boarding in town during the week with a friend and returning home to the farm on weekends. Read More»

Juanita Rose Dahlberg of Peachtree City, for 48 years the devoted and beloved wife of Robert Dahlberg, Jr., died on Jan. 18, 2012.

A member of the Peachtree City Church of Christ, she was active in church, civic, and social activities.

She was born in Carthage, Mo. on Oct. 8, 1936, and was the loving mother of five children: Taye Armstrong, Jeff Armstrong, Rusty Armstrong, Charm Faust, and Roger Dahlberg. He was the owner and operator of the Farmers and Builders Supply Company from 1967-1992. He was also a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.
