Becky Wyatt, 51, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011. Born April 8, 1960 in Atlanta, Ga., Becky lived in Senoia and worked with her husband, Donald in a family business. Becky was an avid fundraiser for The Alzheimerís Association and intrepid traveler of the Western World.

Survivors include husband, Donald Bulloch of Senoia, Ga., mother, Genetha Wyatt and father, Tommy Wyatt, both of Fayetteville, Ga., sister, Rhonda Wyatt-Frizzell, brother-in-law, Scott Frizzell and Nephew, Keaton Wyatt of Brooks, Ga., a multitude of loving family members and close friends. Mrs. Maxine Jones, age 79, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2011. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Fayetteville.

She was retired from Delta Air Lines.

Bette Priest Carlton, 82, of Watkinsville, Ga., formerly from Peachtree City, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011.

Born on Dec. 17, 1928 in Wilkinson County, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Earnest Birtan and Johny Olivia Priest and was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James Conner Carlton; son Jack Conner Carlton; three brothers, Carl, Birtan and Lionel Priest; and sister Myrtle Priest Butler. Jerry Nolan Carr, Sr., 71, of Fayetteville

Mr. Jerry Nolan Carr, Sr., 71, of Fayetteville, passed away on Oct. 27, 2011.

Mr. Carr was a loving husband, father, and friend. At seventeen, he married his childhood sweetheart.

He worked for Sonoco Corporation for fifty years as an electrician. He was a godly man, who humbly served in many positions of responsibility in church throughout the years. Most recently he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, where he was a deacon and sang in the choir.

Brittney Tenish Selora Simpson was born March 10, 1988 in Atlanta, Ga., to the proud parents of Gregory Simpson and Lorraine Dozier. She was educated in the Atlanta Public School System and graduated from Mundy's Mill High School. She studied Business Administration at Strayer University.

She was baptized at New Springfield Baptist Church where she served on the Young Peoples Usher Board, Red Circle Junior Mission, Sunday School and sang in the Early Morning Choir. Mrs. Sandra "Sandi" Dianne Wright, age 68, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011 at Sacred Journey Hospice.

Sandi was born Sept. 17, 1943 to the late Roy Norton Lashley and the late Oceil Virginia Harrison Lashley. Sandi was co-owner of Wright-Bilt Systems and a member of Whitewater Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Jim Wright; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Lesia and Tom Pyle, Debbie and Mark Martin; grandchildren J. Mark Martin, Tesia Martin Cook, T. J. Pyle, Tyler Pyle; great grandchild, Hunter Cook; sister, Selena Nelms Heald; several nieces and nephews. Read More»

George Talmadge Terry, 71, of Patterson

Mr. George Talmadge Terry, 71, of Patterson, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 at his residence.

Born in Clarke County, Ga. on Oct. 18, 1940, he lived in Fayette County for many years before moving to Pierce County in 2003. He worked as a long-haul truck driver and also worked as a supervisor with the Atlanta Journal–Constitution.

Mr. Terry was a devout Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed sports of every kind.

Roy Henson, 81, of Peachtree City

Roy Henson, 81, of Peachtree City, passed away on Oct. 12, 2011.

 Roy Henson will be remembered as a friend, family man, outdoorsman, and golfer.

 Born to Howard and Prudence Henson in Banks County, Ga.; Roy served in the Army Air Corp before becoming an Eastern Airlines Captain. 

 Roy moved his family to Peachtree City in 1968 and helped found the First Presbyterian Church. Last year, he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary and his 80th birthday with his wife, Judy, family and friends. Read More»
