Mr. Alvin Mayfield, 98, of Tyrone, Ga. passed away Sept. 5, 2011. He was a lifelong member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, a retired civil servant at Fort Gillem and was a faithful and long time employee of Parrott Funeral Home and Herschel McDaniel Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Ruth Ann Adamek, 68, of Newnan, Ga,. passed away Aug. 29, 2011. She was born Feb. 20, 1943 in Bay City, Mich. and the daughter of Walter Knoerr & Ida Feinauer Knoerr.

Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & sister who spent many years as a kindergarten teacher and a Mary Kay director.

Griffin Judicial Circuit Juvenile Court Judge Tarey B. Schell, 72, of Peachtree City and Tybee Island, Georgia died at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia on September 7, 2011.

Prior to his current title, Tarey served as the presiding Judge of the Juvenile Court Griffin Circuit from 2004 to 2008. He was the Associate Judge of the Juvenile Court Griffin Circuit from 1999 - 2004. Haywood L. Freeman, 59, of Newnan departed his life on September 3, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born March 13, 1952 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Mrs. Jessie L. Freeman Whatley and the late Mr. Charlie Freeman.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John C. Whatley.

Louise Dickinson Webb, 58, beloved wife of Bill, died September 3, 2011 of complications from ovarian cancer.

She was born on May 5, 1953 to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob McGavock Dickinson, III of Nashville, TN. She graduated from the Harpeth Hall School in 1971 and from the University of Tennessee with a BA in 1975.

Louis M.E. Thys, age 87, died Sunday September 4, 2011 at Ashley Glen Assisted Living Center in Peachtree City, GA.

He was born in Bandung, Indonesia, the son of Mathias Thijs and Mathilda (Hijmans) Thijs.

Rex Howard Fowler, 80, of Fayetteville, passed away on September 2, 2011.

Mr. Fowler was a 14-year member of Inman United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He retired from FAA as an Air Traffic Controller. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Kiwanis and enjoyed working with the Little League and Boy Scouts in Fayette County. He loved to study WWII history and worked as a Docent at the Carter Center for 15 years.
