Wirt Epling, 53, of Peachtree City, passed away Dec. 11, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.

Wirt was the beloved husband of Lisa Epling for 27 years. Wirt leaves behind his children, Clayton Wirt Epling and Sarah Katherine Epling.

Wirt is survived by his mother, Ruth Epling, brothers Jimmy Epling and Allen Epling (Gwen), sister, Tammy Wilkins (Bobby).

Mr. Rickey Edward Maloy, age 58, died at Doctor’s Hospice in Fayetteville, Ga. on Nov. 25, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. The cause of death was brain cancer.

He was born July 4, 1953 in Atlanta, Ga. He lived in Hapeville, Forest Park, and Peachtree City before settling in Fayetteville. Mr. Herbert A. (Buddy) Rhoades of Fayetteville passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Cook Rhoades and is survived by his daughter, Crystal Williams and her husband, John of St. Augustine, Fla.; sister, Lavada Thompson of St. Johns, Fla.; brother, Gerald Thompson and his wife Toni of St. Johns, Fla.

A funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Brannen officiating.

Ruth Lenora Schlegel, 89, of Peachtree City passed away November 29, 2011. Ruth was born in Brooklyn, NY to Edward Kling & Catherine Johnson Kling. Ruth retired from Consolidated Edison in NY as a customer service agent. She was an expert seamstress who taught sewing in New York City. She was a charter member and President of the Peachtree Pioneers in 1986-1987. Ruth was a volunteer for Travelers Aide at Hartsfield Atlanta Airport. She loved traveling with her friend Jessie Price. Mr. R. Frank Marshall, 92, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011 at Doctor's Hospice in Fayettevile, Ga.

Mr. Marshall was born Dec. 27, 1918 in Long Hollow, Va. to the late Charlie and Ethel Marshall.

He retired as president of Central Georgia Production Credit Association, a division of the Federal Land Bank. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church, Fayetteville, Ga.

Mr. Gregory Terrell Dixon, age 35 of Sharpsburg, passed away on Nov. 27, 2011. He was born in Dublin, Ga. on Jan. 20, 1976. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of 3rd Wheel Band. He loved his family and friends, music and soccer.
