Brother Willie J. Smith Jr.

Brother Willie J. Smith Jr., age 63, a native of Mobile, Ala. and resident of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He was born December 15, 1948 in Mobile, Ala.

Willie was a devoted family man and a dedicated sevant of Jehovah. He was a Colonel in the United States Army and was employeed at the United States Post Office where he retired from both.

Mrs. Susan Jobson, age 55, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away on Jan. 29, 2012.

She is survived by husband, Thomas Jobson; sons, Chris and Ryan Jobson; mother, Eileen Harvey; brothers, Steven and Wally Harvey and two sisters, Dianne Martini and Joann Jordan.

Doris Rey Harwell, of Peachtree City, passed away Jan. 27, 2012. She was a member of Grace UMC, a graduate of Commercial High School, member of Cooper Music Club and Rareover Garden Club.

Mrs. Harwell was preceded in death by her husband; Marcus W. Harwell, mother, Pat Barnes Rey Riley, father, Henry G. Rey, brothers; Henry G. Rey, Jr., Charles E. Rey, Sr.

Oscar B. Harper, age 91, of College Park

Mr. Oscar B. (O.B.) Harper, a longtime resident of College Park, Ga., passed away Jan, 25, 2012 at the age of 91.

O.B. was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Infantry. After the war, he was employed by the United States Postal Service. He retired from the Post Office after many years of service. Read More»

Mildred Wells, 92, of Peachtree City

Mildred Wells, 92, passed away Jan. 16, 2012. Born in 1919, Mildred grew up in the small community of Knoxville, Mo., the daughter of a farmer who raised hogs and grew corn and other crops.

She and her sister rode a pony to a one-room schoolhouse each day, and their Dad built a small shed to shelter the pony at the school during cold winter Missouri days. She attended high school in nearby Richmond, Mo., boarding in town during the week with a friend and returning home to the farm on weekends. Read More»

Juanita Rose Dahlberg of Peachtree City

Juanita Rose Dahlberg of Peachtree City, for 48 years the devoted and beloved wife of Robert Dahlberg, Jr., died on Jan. 18, 2012.

A member of the Peachtree City Church of Christ, she was active in church, civic, and social activities.

She was born in Carthage, Mo. on Oct. 8, 1936, and was the loving mother of five children: Taye Armstrong, Jeff Armstrong, Rusty Armstrong, Charm Faust, and Roger Dahlberg. She was the wonderfully supportive grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Sonny Hartley. Read More»
