Louis Fuertes Boynton

Louis Fuertes Boynton (Lou) died peacefully on April 14, 2014 in Atlanta, Ga. after a year of declining health. He was born on July 19, 1933 in Trumansburg, N.Y.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents Damon and Mary Fuertes Boynton.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Taraila Boynton; his four children, Louis Fuertes Boynton II, Carol Mastin, Timothy Boynton, Christine Boynton; his six grandchildren, Sophie Boynton, Mary Mastin, Dallas Mastin, Jacob Boynton Welch, Sara Welch, and Damon Boynton; and his two sisters, Katherine Payne and Maria Boynton. Brittany Nicole Irvin, age 22 of Fayetteville died at Piedmont Fayette Hospital on May 20, 2014.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sondra, and sons Andrew Michael and Benjamin Edward. Mike is the son of John and Nancy Naber of Grand Rapids, Mich. He is also survived by a sister, Pam Knox (John) of Athens, Ga., and brothers Steve Naber (Marcie) of Columbus, Ohio, and Tom Naber (Lisa) of Sacramento, Calif.

Patricia Anne Meyer, 88, of Fairhope, Ala., passed away on April 17, 2014 at a local healthcare facility.

Pat was born in Lima, Ohio and was raised in Montezuma, Iowa. She proudly served as a WAC in WWII and spent her working life as a legal secretary. Pat enjoyed music and sang in "The Sweet Adelines." She is survived by her mother Barbara (Charles) Vickery of Peachtree City; sisters Claudia Levy of Nashville, Tenn. and Alexis Luck of London, England and brother Michael Ilnicki of Atlanta.

John E Venezia Sr. passed away on March 29, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 14, 1915.

James Alvin Varney, 75, of Peachtree City

James "Jim" Alvin Varney, 75, of Peachtree City died peacefully in his sleep on May 16, 2014.

Jim was born to the late Carl and Annabelle Varney in Detroit, Mich. on January 24, 1939. After attending the University of Detroit for two years, he served in the US Navy for six years, including time on a nuclear submarine. Jim married Barbara Brassard Varney in 1967.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years and children: Linda Ellis of Peachtree City; David Varney of Newnan; Laura Truelove of Buford; and Michael Varney of Peachtree City. He is also survived by six grandchildren. Read More»

Clinton W. Shaw, Jr., 93, of Newnan, Ga., passed away May 19, 2014.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Shaw belonged to the Atlanta Bagpipe Association.
