David William Howland, of Hampton, passed away on March 21, 2013 at the age of 70.

David was a loving and caring husband, son, father, grandfather great-grandfather, and friend who loved to spend time with his family. He was a "family leader," always there for those that he loved, but also a successful businessman.

David was a hard worker with the highest character and a tremendous work ethic. He served for 12 years as the Plant Manager for the Maxxis International Corporation.

Ralph Scalise, Jr. of Fayetteville

Ralph Scalise, Jr. of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away peacefully on March 15, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with multiple myeloma; he was 66 years old.

Ralph was born in Burbank, Calif. and enlisted in the Navy out of high school where he spent 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. After Vietnam he returned home and began work in the sheet metal industry where he spent 30 years designing and building air conditioning systems. He was fortunate to retire at age 50. Read More»

Dayton Calhoun, III, 68, of Hogansville, Ga. died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital, Newnan, Ga.

Mr. Calhoun was born Dec. 31, 1944 in Hamilton, Ga., son of the late Dayton Calhoun, Jr. and Lou Burleson Calhoun. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, and a member of Glennville Baptist Church, Glennville, Ga.

Donald Leverton Clarke, age 84

Mr. Donald Leverton Clarke, born July 7, 1928 in Lowell, Mass. died March 15, 2013 of renal failure at his home in Peachtree City, Ga.

He moved to Nutley, N.J. in 1939 where he met his wife Mildred Jane Elsishans. In 1992, they retired to the bay front in Manahawkin, N.J. before coming to Peachtree City in 2004 to live near their daughter and family. Donald worked for Esso/Exxon for 30 years and was a member of the New Jersey State Fireman's Association due to his many years as a Nutley Volunteer Fireman.

Mrs. Mary Ruth Hanson, age 74 of Brooks, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Fayette Community Hospital.

Mrs. Hanson was born July 30, 1938 in Brooks to the late Wilson Haynes and the late Leola Dingler Haynes. She was a member of Brooks United Methodist Church. She retired from the City of Brooks where she served as City Clerk for over 20 years and served on Brooks City Counsel a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hanson. Mark "Marc" Edwin Rogers, 53, of Fayetteville, passed away March 14, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Greg Rogers.

He is survived by his wife Gail E. Rogers of Fayetteville; son Walker D. Rogers of Columbus; daughter Kara M. Rogers of Fayetteville; sister Pamela Aguiniga of Columbia, Maryland; brother Jay Shaefudin of Maryland; numerous nieces & Nephews.
