Mr. Barry Hamilton James, age 60, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013.

Barry was an educator for over 30 years, serving as a teacher, principal and administrator during that time. He was a graduate of West Georgia College and a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Barry was an avid UGA fan. He also enjoyed traveling especially on cruises and anywhere near the water.

Marian Allene Smith, of Senoia, passed away April 3, 2013. She was born and raised in Atlanta. She lived 40 years of her life in Riverdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years James Ray Smith and grandson Stephen Roberson.

Patricia Elaine Carden, 64, of Fayetteville, passed away March 26, 2013.

She was a retired Veterinarian Assistant for Flat Creek Animal Hospital. She was also a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Douglas Carden of Fayetteville; son Kirk Carden of Fayetteville; daughter Kim C. Ruck and husband Tim of Peachtree City; grandchildren Logan, Conner, Kody and Cooper.

William Richard Brooks, Sr., age 76 of Peachtree City

William Richard Brooks, Sr., age 76 of Peachtree City passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013.

Mr. Brooks was born on July 13, 1936 in Griffin, Ga. to the late Howard and Janie Brooks.

He was a State Champion at Griffin High School in the high hurdles and he was a graduate of the University of Wyoming, which he attended on a football scholarship.

William was a proud member of the Army National Guard for 29 years and a high school football official for 31 years. He was Athletic Director for the Parks and Recreation Department for Peachtree City, until his retirement in 2002. Read More»

Rita Sweeney Rezba of Peachtree City

Rita Sweeney Rezba passed away peacefully at her residence in Peachtree City, GA on March 26, 2013 at the age of 94.

Rita was born in Cazenovia, WI on November 27, 1918 as the youngest of 7 children.  After graduating high school, she went to work in Madison, WI where she met her husband, John Rezba, who was a Chemical Engineering student. They married on November 28, 1942 during WWII while John served in the US Coast Guard. During his career with Kimberly Clark Corporation, they moved multiple times and eventually settled in Peachtree City following his retirement.
