Theodore Charles Freeman

Mr. Theodore (Ted) Charles Freeman (85) of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away on February 20, 2014. Ted was born May 20, 1928 and grew up in Muskegon, Mich. with six brothers and sisters. While serving in the US Army he shared his knowledge of the printing industry with disabled Veterans. He moved to Southern California where he married his wife Millie and raised their three children. In December of 1992, after working 50 plus years in the printing business, they moved to Peachtree City to enjoy retirement. Dolores Cason Grimes, 83, of Sharpsburg, passed away February 26, 2014.

She graduated from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, S.C. and was a retired math teacher from Haralson County School System. She was a member of Peachtree City First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons Kevin and his wife, Jill Grimes of Sharpsburg and Brian Grimes of Douglasville; grandchildren Tiffany and Ashley Grimes of Sharpsburg; sister Charlene and her husband Donald Smith of Tallapoosa; brother Lindy and his wife Betty Cason of Dallas, Ga. and several nieces and nephews. Joe Lamar Lynch, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away February 27, 2014.

He was born April 28, 1937 in Griffin, Ga. to the late Joseph Franklin Lynch and Nettie Lou Reid. He graduated from Griffin High School in 1955 and also attended Georgia Tech. Mr. Lynch retired from Georgia Power Co. with over 35 years of service as a design engineer. He was a deacon emeritus at Fayetteville First Baptist Church, where he was a member for over 50 years. Judith Harlow Devine, 78, of Fayetteville, passed away February 26, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Devine and parents Kenneth & Ruth Harlow.

She is survived by her daughters Andree Devine, Shawn Gilmore, Christina and husband Tony Williams, and Kimberly Rountree; also 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Reverend Carolyn Clifton officiated. The family received friends Saturday 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Read More»

Willy Lutz, 69, of Peachtree City

Willy Lutz, 69, of Peachtree City, Ga., died Saturday February 22, 2014 in LaGrange Ga., as the result of a tragic airplane accident.

He was born to the late Willhelm and Josefa Lutz, Nov 06, 1944, in Winterthur, Switzerland. Willy graduated in 1965 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He married Wendy Henderson in 1976 in New England.  That marriage ended in divorce.  Willy remarried Marilyn Stack in 1991, and lived in Herndon VA, where he raised his three youngest step-children, before relocating to Peachtree City, Ga. in 2002. Francis William Walker, 89, of Sharpsburg

Francis  William "Bill" Walker, 89, of Sharpsburg, passed away February 26, 2014. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II and later retired from the Jacksonville, Florida Shipyards in 1988. He relocated to Sharpsburg, Ga. to be close to his family in 2001.  Bill was a devoted and loving husband and father. Mr. Matthew G. Bishop, age 42, of Tyrone, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014. He was born December 25, 1971 in Atlanta, the son of Mr. Jerry Lee Bishop and Mrs. Mary Greer Bishop. He worked for J.J. Morley Enterprises for many years. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan and a part-time Sous Chef. 

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Bishop of Fayetteville and Nathan Bishop of Fayetteville; sister and brother-in-law, Gina and Eddie Oliver of Newnan; brother, Shane Bishop of Fayetteville; three nieces, Katie, Chloe, and Tori; five nephews, Ethan, Trevor, Ryan, Joey, and Blake.  Read More»

Patti S. Michaels, 58, of Peachtree City, passed away February 25, 2014. She was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband John Michaels, III; son Alan (Ashley) Michaels of Melbourne, Fla; mother Betty Sue Saunders and nephew Ronnie Saunders both of Bradenton, Fla.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lake McIntosh Park on TDK Boulevard in Peachtree City. Reverend Frank Mercer will officiate.
