Mr. Hiram Atwood Walters, age 87 of College Park, passed away on Saturday, Nov.10, 2012 at Sacred Journey Hospice.

Mr. Walters was born in Ovett, Miss. on Nov. 12, 1924.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Walters was retired after 27 years as a Lt. Col with the United States Air Force, having flown missions in World War II, Korea and Vietnam and being awarded the distinguished Flying Cross. Read More»

Jimmy J. "JJ" Story, age 81, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, November 07, 2012.

He was born on July 22, 1931 in El Reno, OK to Scott and Mary Story. He attended the University of Okla.

JJ was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. He retired from Bell Helicopter. In retirement he stayed active playing golf several times a week. Mary Ellis, age 74, of Sharpsburg, GA passed away November 7, 2012. Mrs. Ellis grew up in Lansing, MI where she met and married her husband of 47 years, Clarence (Bud) Ellis. A loving wife and mother of 3, Mrs. Ellis went on to become a Real Estate agent after moving to Georgia in 1986. Loved by all who knew her, she was once active in New Neighbors and the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 50. Joseph Peter "Joe" Kress of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.

He was a warm person who loved to entertain and had a knack for making everyone feel like family. Joe was very involved in the 4-H Trap-Shooting Program and was a machinist for Nabisco for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; son Jim Kress; daughter Julie Kress, all from Fayetteville, Ga. Also, eleven brothers and sisters and his loyal puppies--Belle and P.J.

John was an honorable man, whose love for his family, great moral values, and sense of humor made him a pleasure to be around. He was a driven individual who was very competitive, but always put the needs of others first. John was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and there were very few fish that he couldn't outsmart.
