Charles Edward Young

Charles Edward Young, 58, Fayetteville, died Jan. 17, 2010. He had served in the United States Air Force. He was a sales manager for Bairstow Lifting Products and was an active member of Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church. Memorial services were at Harps Crossing Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Alison and Michael Welckum, Newnan, Jessica and Patrick Massey, Warner Robins, Jennifer Young, Smyrna, and Jaclyn Young, Cumming; grandchildren, Hunter and Kristin Welckum; and sisters, Lynn Musarra and Reda McCoy, both of Birmingham, Ala.

Richard Lee Daniels

Richard Lee Daniels, Peachtree City, died Jan. 20, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in 1937 in Owosso, Mich., where he developed a love for the outdoors and fly fishing. He and his wife served faithfully at several churches in Palm Beach County for nearly 25 years.

Services were at the Carl J. Mowell Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Peggy; a brother, John; and children, Virginia, Genevieve, Richard, Donald, and Marlene. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Bradford Lee McCollum Sr.

Bradford Lee McCollum Sr., 69, Fayetteville, died Jan. 21, 2010. He coached for several years in Fayette County Little League where he was known as "Coach Brad." He was always active in sports with his sons and grandchildren and loved to watch them play. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Jim Willis officiating. Carolyn Lee Clark

Carolyn Lee Clark, 61, Fayetteville, died Jan. 22, 2010. She was retired with 30 years of teaching at the Church Street Elementary School in Riverdale. She was a member of the Riverdale Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, 30th Infantry Division of the Ladies Auxiliary, the Ethel Taylor Circle at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, Kappa Kappa IOTA National Teacher Sorority, MU Conclave, and was a retired member of the NEA and GAE, Fayette County Retired Educators and the Georgia Retired Educators. Melvin Douglas Morrow

Melvin Douglas Morrow, Newnan, died Jan. 12. 2010. He was born Sept. 13, 1949 in Junction City, Ga. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Morrow. He was graduated from the Coweta County school system. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War era. Mary Louise Brown Tinsley, 82, Senoia, died Jan. 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bela Morris and Arlie Rachel Bell Brown, and  son, Wayne Barry Tinsley. Emmer Lee "Mo" Benning, 91, Union City, formerly of Senoia, died Jan. 13, 2010. She was born June 7, 1918 in Oglethorpe County. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Benning, her parents, Will and Lizzie Murray, and four children. She was an active member of the Greater Pine View Pure Holiness Church, Senoia. She served on the Mother Board and other auxiliaries. Cynthia Ann Turner

Cynthia Ann Turner, 41, Fayetteville, died Jan. 9, 2010. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Stephen "Steve" G. Turner Sr., Fayetteville; a son, Stephen G. Turner Jr., Fayetteville; parents, Joseph and Beverly Franks, Melbourne, Fla.; in-laws, Harold and Jean Turner, Fayetteville; a sister, Becky and Greg Willhite, Fayetteville, Ark.; and brothers-in-law, Michael Turner, Fayetteville, and Gary and Deborah Turner, Dallas, Ga. Perry Andrew Padgett

Perry Andrew Padgett, 77, Fayetteville, died Jan. 11, 2010. He was a resident of Fayetteville for 45 years. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years in the 1950s, and worked as an airline mechanic for Delta Airlines for 22 years, from 1964 to 1986.
