Mrs. Avis H. Jones, age 82, of Fayetteville passed away Mar. 30, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Jones and is survived by her husband of 36 years, Paul Jones of Fayetteville; daughters, Angela Shaw and her husband, Larry of Forest Park, Cathy Huckaby and her husband, Jason of Dahlonega, Paula Samples and her husband, Michael of Dawsonville; sisters, Elaine Smith of Fayetteville, Mary Harris of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Aaron B. Pauline Stell, 98, of Fayetteville

Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Stell, 98, of Fayetteville, died Mar. 29, 2014.

Mrs. Polly demonstrated her love for life and people by spending time volunteering in the community. She also played piano at Fayette Presbyterian Church, where she was a member for many years. She also loved gardening, birds and music.

Marian Ann White, 75, of Fayetteville

Marian Ann White, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away March 18, 2014.

She loved working with children in preschool and kindergarten at New Hope Baptist Church and made costumes for their church productions. She visited with the homebound and delivered Meals on Wheels. She also volunteered at Christian City.

Harry Lemming, 89, of Fayetteville

Harry "Paul" Lemming, 89, of Fayetteville, passed away Mar. 30, 2014.

He proudly served as a staff sargent in the US Air Force and a member of a P51 crew during WWII. He was active in Civitan International.

He was ordained as a deacon at Lakewood Heights Baptist Church under Rev. Bill Rainwater and also served at Dogwood Hills and Meadows Baptist Church. Mr. Lemming was a long-time member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School.

He was self-employed as a jeweler and expert watchmaker until his retirement in 1989. Photography was also one of his hobbies. Read More»

Fred A. Pyron, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away March 20, 2014.

He was previously employed by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Minnie Lou Pyron.

Mrs. Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Pope Hagan, age 76, departed this life for her home with her Savior, Jesus Christ on Mon., March 31, 2014.

She was born on June 9, 1937 to the late Samuel and Mabel Pope. She was a registered nurse trained in infection control in A.P.I.C. She was employed at Baroness Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn. and most recent Newnan Hospital.

She was born on June 23, 1926, in Morgan County, Ky., to the late Robert and Lucy Adkins. He is survived by his wife Lenora Farr of Peachtree City; daughter Len Blalock of Fayetteville; son Richard (Laura) Farr of McDonough; grandson Christopher Farr of McDonough; brothers Tommy (Brenda) Farr of Canton and Gene (Marjory) Farr of Atlanta; sisters Eloise Bowers of Marietta and Norma Patton of Canton; also numerous nieces & nephews.
