Mrs. Frances Black Tanksley, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away on December 17, 2010.

Mrs. Tanksley was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Forest Park and after 40 years of dedication, she retired from Ford Motor Company.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Tanksley.

Hugh Edward Hudgins, 80, of Fayetteville, died December 14, 2010.

He worked for Ford Motor Co. for 34 years and was a member of Christ Church at Whitewater for 24 years. Mr. Hudgins enjoyed gardening and yard work and was known for his tomatoes.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Nell Hudgins; sons Edward E. Hudgins of Doraville, John Hudgins of Canton, and Mark and Sherry Hudgins of Canton; daughters Katurah H. Survivors include daughters Barbara & Richard Fogg of Sharpsburg and Brenda & Russell Bowman of Fayetteville, sons William R. & Susan Carter of Jackson , GA. and Richard Carter of Fayetteville ; 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, December 13, 2010 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Fayetteville Chapel with Rev. Lynn McClain officiating. The burial will follow at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery .

Mrs. Fanny Joiner, of Fayetteville, passed away on December 8, 2010 at the age of 87.

Mrs. Joiner was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose favorite times were spent reading her Bible, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Fanny had a green thumb. She was known for her beautiful caladiums among other flowers, which once allowed her garden to be chosen as “garden of the month.” She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City. Ellie Mae McElroy, born June 8, 1914, went to be with the Lord December 9, 2010 at the age of 96.

She is preceded in death by her husband Henry McElroy, Sr., grandson Dennis McElroy, granddaughter Nicki McElroy and all her brothers and sisters.
