Charles Bryant “Charlie” White, 85, of Peachtree City passed away December 13, 2010.

Mr. White served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was also a member of Dogwood Church.

Annie “Opal” Carter, 86, of Fayetteville passed away December 10, 2010.

Survivors include daughters Barbara & Richard Fogg of Sharpsburg and Brenda & Russell Bowman of Fayetteville, sons William R. & Susan Carter of Jackson , GA. and Richard Carter of Fayetteville ; 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, December 13, 2010 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Fayetteville Chapel with Rev. Lynn McClain officiating. The burial will follow at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery .

Mrs. Fanny Joiner, of Fayetteville, passed away on December 8, 2010 at the age of 87.

Mrs. Joiner was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose favorite times were spent reading her Bible, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Fanny had a green thumb. She was known for her beautiful caladiums among other flowers, which once allowed her garden to be chosen as “garden of the month.” She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City. Ellie Mae McElroy, born June 8, 1914, went to be with the Lord December 9, 2010 at the age of 96.

She is preceded in death by her husband Henry McElroy, Sr., grandson Dennis McElroy, granddaughter Nicki McElroy and all her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by sons Hugh McElroy, Jr. and Julia McElroy, Perry Davis McElroy and Barbara McElroy, daughter Dot Sanders and Charles Sanders, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren and two nieces living in California. Read More»

Norman S. “Norm” Davis, 81, of Senoia, GA died December 5, 2010.

Norm was born in Waukegan, IN to Silas Edward Davis & Lucille Van Treeck Davis. He was a college graduate and served his country in the Armed Forces during World War II. Mr. Davis was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Mrs. Georgia Hill, 78, Peachtree City

Mrs. Georgia Hill, born January 29, 1931, in Steelville, Missouri, passed away peacefully December 6, 2010, under hospice care at The Lafayette-Kindred Center near the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sherry Camp, in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Mrs. Hill battled cancer and liver failure for over a year and a half, and joined her husband Dr. Bob Hill, ten years to the day of his sudden homegoing. They had served together in vocational ministry for over fifty-five years. The Monday prior to her death brought the arrival of her 7th great-grandchild, a baby girl, named Georgia, in her honor. Anita Richardson Talley, 63, of Fayetteville

Anita Richardson Talley, 63, of Fayetteville passed away December 3, 2010 after living with multiple sclerosis for over 25 years. Anita often said, “I have M.S. It doesn’t have me.” She was the mentor of the multiple sclerosis support group for the south side of Atlanta for several years.

Anita was born on February 24, 1947 in Appomattox County, Virginia, daughter of Bernard Carson Richardson and Laura Inge Richardson.
