Mr. Ronald L. Parham, of Fayetteville, died May 28, 2011.

He retired from Ford Motor Company after 32 years of service. He was an active member of the UAW, holding several positions, including chairman for 8 years. After retirement he opened his own locksmith business. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and Riverdale Masonic Lodge #709.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Shelba Russell Parham, his parents J.C. & Nora Parham of Elbert County, and his sister Betsy Burden. Read More»

Mr. Bobbie Don Peacock, Sr., 77, of Peachtree City, GA passed away May 24, 2011.

He was born in Soperton, GA, the son of the late William Thomas & Sara Irene Tyson Peacock. Mr. Peacock served his country in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was the owner/operator of M.A. Industries in Peachtree City, GA and an inventor. Mr. Peacock was a member of the Tyrone Masonic Lodge #644 F&AM, a Shriner and a member of the Fayette Shrine Club.

Barbara Mucklow, of Crete, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 21st in Peachtree City while visiting her family for the winter.

She is survived by one sister, Pat Beitelshees of Elkhart, IN. Barbara is also survived by daughters Nancy (James) Knauff of Peachtree City, GA and Patricia Mucklow (Patrick Slivka) of Homewood, IL and one son, Robert (Priscilla) of Peachtree City, GA.

Mr. Melvin “Unce” Franklin Hestley, 91, of Fayetteville, passed away on May 17, 2011.

Mr. Hestley proudly served in the U.S. Army as an artillery mechanic and was a veteran of WWII. He loved to read, fish and had many other interests and was a friend to many. He was a long-time active member of the Masonic Lodge 82 and served as Past District Master of his lodge.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 22, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.

Bill had a colorful 35 year career with Delta Air Lines working in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Frankfurt Stuttgart Amsterdam and Denmark.
