Brooks UMC thrift shop will celebrate one year in business

The Second Chance Thrift Shop in Brooks will celebrate its first year of operation on Saturday, June 19.

The community is encouraged to join the celebration by coming by for cookies and lemonade that day.

Evangelist Perry Stone to speak at Fayette Family Church June 2

International Evangelist Perry Stone will speak at Fayette Family Church on Ga. Hwy. 54 Wednesday, June 2 at 7 p.m. Although Stone says his first love is evangelism, he has distinguished himself as one of America’s foremost experts on Bible prophecy.

All Saints Anglican Church is having a yard sale on June 5 at 225 South Peachtree Pkwy. in Peachtree City. The children of the church lined up recently to help inventory some of the items for sale which includes bicycles, wall hangings, games, books, and numerous home decorative items among many other things. New Hope in Haiti plans concert June 5

Christian recording artists John Waller and Julian Drive are joining with New Hope in Haiti, a ministry of New Hope Baptist Church, for a silent auction and benefit concert to raise funds to relocate Maison d’Enfants Par La Foi, a Haitian orphanage, to a safer location following January’s earthquake. The orphanage is near high crime areas and children are frightened and traumatized.

The event, New Home, New Life, New Hope, will be held Saturday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m., at Heritage Christian Church, 2130 Redwine Rd, Fayetteville.

McDonough Rd. will host VBS June 7-11

“Saddle Ridge Ranch” is the theme of McDonough Road Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School scheduled for June 7-11 from 9 a.m. – noon. Crafts, recreation, refreshments, music and Bible and mission studies will highlight the week. Participants will present their VBS musical on family night, Thursday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m.
