Woolsey will host several guest speakers at ‘Changed Crusade’

The public is invited to Woolsey Baptist Church’s Changed Crusade Sunday-Wednesday, Nov. 6-9. The theme comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17, “If anyone is in Christ He is a new creation.”

Last week, I shared with our Wednesday night group that I was returning to our First Peter sermon series on Sunday, and that we’d be looking in chapter three at Peter’s instructions to wives.

The husbands perked up, chuckled and said, “All right!”

Then I said, “Wait a minute. Technically, it’s Peter’s instructions to wives with difficult husbands.”

The wives liked that one and the husbands groaned as one lady commented, “That’s every wife.”

‘Covet to Prophesy’ workshop set for Saturday at Christ the King

On Saturday, Oct. 15, the Mid-South Diocese’s Division of Ministry Development will host an activation workshop on prophecy and the gifts of the Holy Spirit entitled “Covet to Prophesy” (1 Corinthians 14:39).

The purpose of the workshop is to “help empower believers to advance the Kingdom of God within themselves and the world around.”

Belarus Choir to perform here

The Belarus National Christian Choir will perform in concert at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. The 33-member choir and instrumental ensemble will perform a one hour program of Russian Classics and folk music along with the Hallelujah Chorus, Majesty, and other American Favorites. Formed in 1986, the choir has performed in Eastern Europe, France, Germany and Russia, and is currently making its fifth tour in the United States. FFUMC announces craft show, seeks vendors

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will host its 22nd annual Christmas craft fair and bric-a-brac sale on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m..

The “Christmas Marketplace” offers a variety of talent, and featured more than 70 vendors last year.

Christmas Market Place is sponsored by the United Methodist Women and supports 12 local charities and missions. Some of these missions include Fayette Youth Protection Home, Joseph’s Sam’s School, and Fayette Samaritans.
