The first annual “Friends of the Poor® Walk” will get underway in Newnan in the form of a 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, Sept. 25, benefiting the St. Mary Magdalene Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The event is a major fundraiser for the local society which directly aids those in need in Coweta County.

North Fayette United Methodist Church is hosting its Annual 5K Run and Barbecue on Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The church also is offering booth space, available at $ 25 for one space or $40 for two spaces.
