Providence UMC’s VBS starts June 11

Providence United Methodist Church in Fayetteville invites children to experience a “Cool, Cool Summer” at SonRise National Park Vacation Bible School, Monday, June 11 through Friday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to noon.

VBS is open to kids who are entering kindergarten through fifth grade in the fall.

COS will honor graduates this Sunday
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will honor graduating seniors this Sunday in services at 10:50 and 11 a.m. The Christ Our Shepherd Brass, which includes two seniors, will provide music at the 11 a.m. service. Each senior will receive a hand-made blanket, symbolizing the congregation’s continuing support. The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

Mountain climber, Brad Jubin, to speak at Christ Our Shepherd this Sunday

Brad Jubin will be the guest speaker at Sunday worship on May 13 at 8:30 and 10:50 a.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City. This spring Jubin climbed the tallest peak in the world outside the Himalayas, Aconcagua in Argentina, to raise funds for the Hudson Family Foundation. B’nai Israel’s career planning program starts tonight in F’ville

Congregation B’nai Israel in Fayetteville will present a six-week job search and career planning program, beginning Wednesday night, May 9, and continuing each week on the five Wednesdays thereafter.

The program is open to anyone in the community and is designed for those seeking employment or needing help with career planning.

A $25 tax-deductible donation to CBI will cover the program’s costs.

All sessions will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The opening one in the series on May 9 is entitled “Identifying your strengths and job/career aspirations.”

FFUMC’s‘UnBelizeable Variety show and Dinner’ is Saturday

Enjoy dinner, a show and support a mission this Saturday, May 12, at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church’s UnBelizeable variety Show and Dinner.

Show times are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Family Life Center and the cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.

COS to present musical, ‘The Lost Boy’ this Saturday and Sunday

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church’s “Music and the Master” ministry will present “The Lost Boy” on Saturday, May 12, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, May 13, at 11 a.m.

This musical recounts the story of Jesus at age 12 spending three days in the temple conversing with the rabbis while his parents searched for him.

Shepherd’s Flock singers are ages 6-12, and the story will be told and sung from their perspective. Pre-school age Cherub Choir will join for a portion of the musical. Also participating will be handbell ringers and chimers from this ministry. Read More»
