On Saturday, Jan. 21st, the Division of Diocesan Ministry Development for the Diocese of the Mid-South of the Charismatic Episcopal Church, under the direction of Dr. Judy Massey of Peachtree City, hosted a “Forgiving Forward” seminar at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Sharpsburg. St. Andrew’s ‘Art With a Heart’ this weekend will benefit Christian City’s Children’s Village

The “Art With a Heart” Fine Arts and Crafts Show benefitting The Children’s Village at Christian City is planned for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 3 and 4, at St. Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church in Peachtree City. The event is sponsored by FAACE (Fine Arts And Crafts Entrepreneurs).

The opening reception will be held Friday, Feb. 3, from 6-9 p.m. The art show will be held the following day, Saturday, Feb. 4, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., and will feature original fine arts and crafts, paintings, pottery, fiber art, jewelry, ornaments, stained glass, wall hangings and more. Read More»

Warriors Motorcycle Club forms at Christ the King

The Warriors Motorcycle Club has been formed at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Sharpsburg. The club was formed to give church members and other Christians the opportunity to ride and fellowship.

The first activity of the group was to visit Bishop John Holloway and his family in Griffin.

The first official organizational meeting was held at a local restaurant and officers were elected. In order to be a full member, a person must own and ride a motorcycle. Non-owners who ride may be associate members. A committee is being formed to work on the club’s by-laws. Read More»

PTC Christian to offer family movie

Peachtree City Christian Church will show “7 Days in Utopia” (G) on Feb.10 at 6:30 p.m. for the cost of $1 per person. There is also childcare available at the church (pizza, games and fun included) for a cost of $20 per family with three or more children; $15 per family with two children; and only $7 per family with one child. All proceeds for the childcare goes to support Joshua’s Gift, a ministry to feed needy children in the area. Popcorn and drinks will be available for a nominal charge as well. Read More»

Deliverance Seminar set for Feb. 22-25 at Coweta Comm. church

Coweta Community Church on Millard Farmer Industrial Blvd. (Ga. Highway 34 Bypass) will have a Deliverance Seminar Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 22-25.

The Wednesday session will be held from 5:45 to 9:30 p.m.

Thursday through Saturday sessions will be from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

There is no charge but a love offering will be received. Lunch and snacks will be served daily. No childcare will be provided.

FCCF will meet this Sunday

The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will hold its regular Fifth Sunday Celebration on Jan. 29, at 2:30 p.m. at Holly Grove African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Peachtree City. The host pastor is the Rev. Larry Ervin.

Flat Creek will host training event this Friday

Each year Flat Creek Baptist Church and The Fairburn Baptist Association provide training for all Sunday School/Small Group workers. Nativity elects new vestry members

Patricia Hamilton is the new senior warden of Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Fayetteville. Her appointment was announced at the parish’s annual meeting Sunday (Jan. 22) by the Rev. Rita Henault, rector. Hamilton succeeds Anne Martz, whose term on the vestry (governing board) has ended. Leon Walker continues as junior warden.

New vestry members elected at the meeting are Christopher Harper, Debbie McDonald and Maria Meikle. In addition to Martz, others retiring from the vestry are Bob Page, Fred Lusk and Ross Terry. Read More»
