Big names featured at FFUMC’s concert

This Sunday’s 14th Annual Candlelight Concert at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church brings in exceptional talent and big names.

Brent Davis, Timothy Miller and Indra Thomas will join violinist Sonia Squires, pianist Rick Massengale and the Candlelight Orchestra for this treasured Christmas tradition.

The concert will be held Sunday, Dec. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

New choral anthem premiers this Sunday in Peachtree City

This Sunday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m, First Presbyterian Church (USA) of Peachtree City will present Lessons and Carols to celebrate the Advent season. One of the choir anthems, Star in the East, will be performed for the first time in Peachtree City.

Composed in 2014 by Griffin resident William A. Pasch and dedicated to the First Presbyterian choir and its director, David Stivers, Star in the East, was recently published by Augsburg Fortress, and has sold approximately 2,500 copies. Read More»

COS to present 12th annual Moravian ‘Love Feasts’

Christ Our Shepherd will offer its twelfth annual Love Feasts in Moravian Tradition on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m.

Christ Our Shepherd’s inter-generational church band will play carols in the Narthex about 30 minutes before each service. Then, at 15 minutes before the hour, The musical offering will feature music by Joyful Noise Ringers, The COS Winds, the Love Feast Consort, and harp soloist Jamie Ann Gossett. Read More»
