Gospel singing set for March 26, 27

Two free nights of “Old Fashioned Southern Gospel Singing” will be featured at the Old Train Depot in downtown Grantville Friday and Saturday, March 26 and 27, beginning at 7 p.m.

Featured groups for Friday’s performance will be Kingdom Express, Mona Gayle Presly, Amazing Grace and One Accord, all from Columbus. Saturday’s performance will feature the Cleghorns from Warner Robins and the Hall Sisters from Soperton. Refreshments will be available. Read More»

Lenten lunches will continue at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church each Thursday throughout Lent ( March 11, 18 and 25) and will end with a lunch on April 1. Benefit dinner at Candler Field, Mar. 20

The Candler Field Museum, located just south of Atlanta in Williamson, Ga., will host its second annual benefit dinner on Mar. 20.  The program will feature Major General Pat Halloran, USAF (retired) who will relate his flying experiences in both the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird and the Lockheed U-2 spy planes. Major Halloran was one of the first pilots to fly the U-2 and the SR-71.  He logged more than 600 hours in the SR-71 and over 1,600 hours in the U-2.  His distinguished career also includes 100 combat missions flying in F-84s during the Korean War. Economist speaks to Midwest Georgia Home Builders March 18

The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia is excited to announce its upcoming presentation by Dr. Elliot Eisenberg, Senior Economist, National Association of Home Builders.
