The home-going celebration for Mrs. Margaret Cleo Smith Berry, age 94, of Union City, GA. will be Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Carl J. Mowell & Son Fayetteville Chapel.

Mr. John Roland Hardy Truelsen, 89

Mr. John Roland Hardy Truelsen, 89, of Mulberry, Florida, passed away on June 2, 2010.

Mr. Truelsen received a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and later became a captain in the Marines during WWII. After 40 years of service with Norton Company, he retired and they relocated to Lakeland, FL where he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends and family. Read More»

Nicholas William Kimberly

On May 22, 2010 we lost our little sunshine – Nicholas William Kimberly. He was born on June 25, 2009, in Weiden, Germany. All Saints’ yard sale is Saturday
All Saints Anglican Church is having a yard sale on June 5 at 225 South Peachtree Pkwy. in Peachtree City. Items for sale include bicycles, wall hangings, games, books, and numerous home decorative items. The sale begins at 8 a.m. and lasts until 1 p.m. Proceeds will be used to support the youth ministry.

Vacation Bible Schools 06/02/10

McDonough Road Baptist, June 7-11
“Saddle Ridge Ranch” is the theme of McDonough Road Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School scheduled for June 7-11 from 9 a.m. – noon. Activities include crafts, recreation, refreshments, music and Bible and mission studies. Heritage to host Winshape camp

Winshape C3 Camp will be hosted by Heritage Christian Church, July 12-16.

The day camp is open to all students who have completed first through sixth grade. Camp runs from 7:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily. Cost is $179 for a full week of camp. A deposit of $50 is due upon registration.

“C3 combines sports and recreation, arts, Bible study and worship for a truly unforgettable week of life change,” said Tammy Pattison, children’s director at Heritage Christian.

The day camp was first held in 2008. Heritage hosted 382 campers last year, which was the largest WinShape C3 camp ever. Read More»

Brooks UMC thrift shop will celebrate one year in business

The Second Chance Thrift Shop in Brooks will celebrate its first year of operation on Saturday, June 19.

The community is encouraged to join the celebration by coming by for cookies and lemonade that day.
