Mr. Ronald Lum Buchanan, age 81, of Dahlonega, Ga. died Monday, March 10, 2014, at Embracing Hospice House following an extended illness.

Ron Buchanan, loving husband of 57 years, was a man of strong stature, honesty and loyal beyond measure. We are outraged by Judge Christopher McFadden’s recent overturned ruling of a jury’s guilty verdicts against William Jeffrey Dumas. Dumas was convicted of repeatedly raping a young woman with Down syndrome on Oct. 18, 2010. Read More»

Mr. John Howard Roseberry, age 75, of Zebulon, passed away March 5, 2014 at his home. He was born in McDonough, son of the late Raymond Roseberry and Christine Fisher Roseberry. He worked for Flooring Distributors in Atlanta for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of Hemphill Presbyterian Church in Stockbridge. John enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and cooking. She was born on Aug 29, 1926, in Anniston, Ala. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Alpharetta First United Methodist Church.

Betty is survived by her husband, C.B. Lawrence of Roswell, two daughters: Lynn Stephens and husband Gary of Ellijay, and Peggy Janowiak of Roswell, two sons: Cliff S. Thrasher and wife Sumi of Roswell and Glen C. Thrasher of Roswell, two grandchildren: Amy Jones and Nicholas Thrasher, two great-grandsons, sister: Carolyn Nelson, of St. Petersburg, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. Read More»
