GriefShare begins at Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity Catholic Church will offer GriefShare, a 13-week Christian video/discussion support group for those who are coping with the death of a loved one, either recently or from years past. Sessions will start on Jan. 8 and 10. The church offers an evening program on Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. or a morning program on Fridays from 9:30-11:30 a.m in Room #103 in the Faith Formation building. The Georgia Legislature is about to kick off its annual 40-day session, and the theme may turn out to be “efficiency and expediency.”

Rep. Matt Ramsey, R-Peachtree City, said the big chore as always will be to shore up the state’s budget expenses between the year-end supplemental budget and the coming fiscal year’s budget. First confirmed flu deaths reported in Ga.

The Ga. Dept. of Public Health (DPH) on Dec. 11 confirmed that Georgia has seen its first flu-related deaths of the 2013-2014 flu season and is advising that people receive a vaccination.

“DPH has lab confirmation of two flu-related deaths in the state. These are the first confirmed flu-related deaths in Georgia this flu season. Both of the deceased were adults,” said DPH Media Relations Manager Nancy Nydam. Read More»
