Amphitheater cuts rental price for school groups

School groups who wish to use the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater for performances or fund-raising events will be getting quite a deal.

The amphitheater has established a $150 rental fee for such events for school groups. The normal non-profit rental rate is $1,500. Read More»

Club to operate mountain bike course

A new cycling club in Peachtree City will be creating a mountain biking course on undeveloped land adjacent to the city’s Baseball Soccer Complex on Ga. Highway 74 south.

The most recent publisher of the Fayette County News is facing two felony charges for taking money and property from his previous employer in North Carolina, police said.

A goal of raising $500 for the children of Haiti surmounted into over $4,000 in just one week.

The wife of professional boxer Evander Holyfield is asking for a temporary protective order, claiming he assaulted her the night of Feb. 1.

Fayette County School System Superintendent John DeCotis is stepping down as head of the 22,000 student system when his contract expires June 30 this year, The Citizen has learned.
