Newlin featured at All Saints Anglican’s healing program

All Saints Anglican Church in Peachtree City will offer a two-part healing program on Saturday, June 18. The general public is encouraged to attend.

The first part of the free program is a three-hour seminar beginning at 9 a.m. The seminar covers the basics of healing and provides important knowledge for those seeking divine healing, to include a Bible study on the subject.

‘Zumba’ kicks off

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will offer ‘Zumba’ exercise classes this summer, combining Latin and International music with a workout system.

Two 5-week sessions will be offered: Wednesday mornings from 9:15-10:15 a.m. (starts today, June 8) and Tuesday evenings, from 6 – 7 p.m. beginning June 21. The cost is $10.

FFUMC will offer music camp

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will offer a summer music camp for children in kindergarten through sixth grade July 11-15.

Children will learn about strings, wind instruments, singing, rhythm and more.

Classes will meet every day from 9 a.m. until noon. The cost is $60 for the week.

will feature ‘Shake It Up Cafe’

All children ages three (as of Jan. 1, 2011) through fifth grade (2010-2011 school year) are invited to join FFMUC for Shake It Up Cafe Vacation Bible School to be held June 27- July 1 from 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

The cost is $10. Registration forms can be found on the website at www.fayettevillefirst.com or the church office.

The event is described as a“ kid-friendly café full of chef’s hats and aprons, pots and pans, checkered tablecloths, and chalkboard menus, where kids explore the Bible as a cookbook filled with recipes for living out God’s word.” Read More»

Mr. and Mrs. Glen H. Blackston III of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Blackston, to Brad Adams, son of Andy and Kay Adams of Winston Salem, N.C. and Jay and Janine Updyke of Peachtree City.

The bride to be is a 2006 graduate of Landmark Christian High School and 2010 graduate of North Georgia College & State University.

The groom elect is a 2003 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School. He is currently completing his undergraduate degree at American Military University and is employed as a military contractor at Fort Gordon in Augusta. Read More»
