PTC teenager charged with damaging vehicles

A 15 year-old Peachtree City resident has been charged with damaging nine vehicles in the Peachtree Station Circle Apartment complex.

During the overnight hours on April 12 the police department received several complaints of tires being punctured, according to Capt. Stan Pye. A total of nine cars were damaged in the incident, Pye said. Read More»

Cell companies to sift through locations identified by city staff

Three cellphone companies wanting to erect new towers in seven different residential areas of Peachtree City don’t have many locations to choose from, thanks to the city’s existing regulations.

The companies want the new towers to improve existing cell service. Several city council members indicated Monday night that new towers would not be approved unless they could be, in the words of Mayor Don Haddix: “as hidden as possible and as far away from residential as possible.” Read More»

Earth Day activities Saturday in Tyrone

The annual celebration of Earth Day in Fayette County is around the corner. And the event is many things to many people. Mary Lou Miller will speak at Brooks UMC this Friday

All Ladies of the community are invited to a Ladies’ Coffee House at Brooks United Methodist Church Friday, April 16 at 7 p.m. Mary Lou Miller will be the guest speaker.

Miller has been in campus ministries at Florida State University, Georgia Tech and Atlanta Christian College. She and her husband, Thom, work together in leading marriage enrichment seminars across the United States.

Fayette BOE to employees: no more furlough days this year
