Legacy Theatre presents 'Baby'

The Legacy Theatre in Tyrone has always reserved spring for their most daring and critically acclaimed work. Homecoming procession Thursday; funeral 10 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church

Army 1st Lt. Robert Collins of Tyrone died Wednesday in Iraq when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device, military officials said.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Read More»

Tyrone police reports 4-10-10

The following arrests were made by Tyrone Police between March 4 - April 8. Those arrested are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.

Rodrick Rashad Anthony, 21, for attempting to purchase alcohol under age 21.
David Brian Dias, 48, of Rockpart Trace, Tyrone, for DUI, DUI less safe and open container.
Gerson Fidora, 28, of Palmetto Road, Tyrone, for allowing unlicensed person to drive, seatbelt violation and failure to obey stop sign.
Ashely Marcel Llewellyn, 31, of Pat Nell Drive, Peachtree City, for warrants served. Read More»

Mr. William Edward Landrum, of Tyrone

Mr. William Edward Landrum of Tyrone, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010.

In the early 1960’s Mr. Landrum was drafted into the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of Sergeant in the First Armored Division. He retired as President of C.A. Rafter Company Inc. in East Point after 43 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Landrum; son, Chuck Landrum and his wife LaVann of Newnan; sister, Linda Geer and her husband Terry of Eatonton; grandchildren, Andrew Landrum, Ansley Landrum, Jack Weaver and Sam Weaver. Read More»

Mrs. Betty Jo Hills, of Tyrone

Mrs. Betty Jo Hills of Tyrone passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Mrs. Hills was an employee of South Fulton Hospital for 24 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George E.
