F’ville mayor Steele to face rare challenge in November election

While the political rhetoric has been ongoing in Peachtree City for a while now in advance of the November election, things may be about to get spicy in Fayetteville too.

For the first time in recent memory, Fayetteville Mayor Ken Steele will face a challenger: computer salesman Greg Clifton.

What a letdown: PTC’s Learnard, like atheist, wants to stop prayers

What a letdown in Fayette County to read in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution where Peachtree City Councilwoman Kim Learnard told a reporter that the city ought to ditch the invocation at City Council meetings in agreement with atheist activist Al Stefanelli.

Councilwoman Learnard and Mr. Stefanelli have an overwhelming desire to drag our local governments out of our Judeo-Christian ideals. Tyrone tables fire station sewer deal

The Tyrone Town Council at the Sept. 1 meeting voted unanimously to table an agreement with Fayette County pertaining to the provision of sewer service to the prospective fire station to be located on Jenkins Road and Ga. Some Kedron residents say keep that cell tower out of our area

A new cell tower is on its way to the south Tyrone area, which has nearby residents in Peachtree City’s Kedron Hills subdivision concerned.
