Lorraine Harvey, age 85

Lorraine Harvey passed away on June 12, 2014 at Southwest Christian Care in Union City, Ga.

Lorraine was born on July 18, 1928 in Queens, N.Y. to Muriel and James Brzezinski. She had one brother, Donald Brzezinski (deceased); and one sister, Carol Harrison.

At 13 she met the love of her life, Harold Harvey and they married when she was 19. Lorraine worked for Lufthansa Airlines and together they enjoyed traveling around the world. They were married for 57 years before his passing in 2005. Read More»

Our county staff revealed some exceptional news last Thursday. Standard and Poor’s has upgraded its rating on Fayette County’s general obligation bonds to the highest possible AAA rating.

Alleene Walker, 90, of Peachtree City, passed away June 11, 2014. She proudly served in the United States Air Force and later retired from Eastern Airlines.

She was preceded in death by her brother William "Bill" Everett Walker and sisters Carolyn Fay Kelly and Peggy Ruth Boshers. She is survived by her sisters Betty Edmondson of Peachtree City and Cecil Ann Jones of Nashville and several nieces and nephews.
