Betty Boutwell, age 78

A memorial service for Mrs. Betty Boutwell, age 78, of Peachtree City, GA, was held at 1:00 PM, EST, on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Simpson Wood Retreat Chapel, in Norcross, GA.
 
Mrs. Boutwell was born March 28, 1933 in Chicago, IL. She died Friday, April 29, 2011, in Union City, GA.

  Survivors include her loving husband, Paul Boutwell; son, Mark (Jenny) Boutwell;  two daughters, Gail Frantz and Becky Boutwell;  three grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Gordy, Elliot and Lindsay Frantz. Read More»

Leading 2010 Coldwell Banker Bullard Peachtree City office agents recognized by company and realtor board

Donna Lasseter was recognized recently as the 2010 Top Producing Agent for Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty’s Peachtree City/Fayette County office. Dianne Maney was the office’s No. 2 producer for the year, while Jim Qualls was No. 3.

The recognition came at the Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty organization’s annual awards event. Lasseter was also announced as the No. 4 producer companywide for 2010.

Several agents from Bullard’s Peachtree City/Fayette office also received recognition at the Fayette County Board of Realtors’ Annual Awards Luncheon for their performances in 2010.  Read More»

Garage sale will benefit PTCUMC’s international missions

The International Mission Teams of Peachtree City United Methodist Church will hold a garage sale Saturday, May 7, from 8 a.m. – noon at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 225 Robinson Rd. in Peachtree City.

All proceeds will be used by the Liberia, Guatemala, South Africa, and Mozambique Mission Teams for projects, supplies, and travel scholarships. Read More»

GriefShare starts May 5 at PTCUMC

Beginning May 5, Peachtree City United Methodist Church will offer GriefShare each Thursday night from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

GriefShare is a Christ-centered Biblically based support group for anyone who has lost a loved one.

It is open to anyone in the community and surrounding area who has lost a spouse, child, a parent, a sibling or a close friend.

GriefShare is led by facilitators who understand the grief process and want to help. All facilitators have experienced the loss of a loved one and can identify with the emotions that result from the grief process. Read More»

Open Mic Night at 'The Fred' Saturday

Local entertainers go head to head competing for the coveted first place win in the Third Annual Open Mic Night at the Fred Amphitheater. Saturday, May 7 come out and cheer for your favorite artist as they face a live audience and panel of judges. Winners take home not only bragging rights but the opportunity to perform as an opening act for one of the concerts in the 2011 BMW of South Atlanta Summer Concert Series at the Fred.
