Safety flare causes minor injury to man at Braelinn Village

A man was treated and released at Braelinn Village Shopping Center Feb. 26 after a safety flare accidentally ignited.

Peachtree City Police spokesperson Rosanna Dove said officers responded Saturday to the parking lot at Braelinn Village Shopping Center at 11:47 a.m. in reference to a person receiving a chemical burn.

Police officers and firefighters arriving at the scene discovered an unknown device that had exploded in the hand of the victim, Dove said. Read More»

She was born in Lake Charles, LA on March 13, 1943 to Arthur Richard Lyman, Jr. and Virginia Pierce Brown Lyman. Saturday marked the end of a record-breaking season for the McIntosh Chiefettes Dance Team as they captured their second consecutive state championship in both their Kick and Pom categories at the UDA Georgia Dance Championship held at McIntosh High School.

The competition posted a record turnout of 37 dance teams from across the state and nearly 500 athletes. The weather was picture-perfect and total attendance was over 1,200. Read More»
