Nigerian minister returns to Fayetteville

Action of Faith Ministries will once again host Pastor Friday Idawor from Lagos, Nigeria for two nights at the Harvest Christian Community Center (HCCC) in Fayetteville.

On Friday, May 27, at 7 p.m., there will be a special service for pastors and ministry leaders, only.

Then, on Saturday night, May 28, at 7 p.m., everyone is invited to attend.

The Harvest Christian Community Center is at 383 Fayette Place, Fayetteville.

Music camp starts July 11

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will offer a summer music camp for children in kindergarten through sixth grade July 11-15.

Children will learn about strings, wind instruments, singing, rhythm and more.Classes will meet every day from 9 a.m. until noon. The cost is $60 for the week.

Heritage plans VBS for last weekend in June

Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville is inviting kids to get cookin’ at its Shake It Up Café Vacation Bible School, Monday, June 27-Friday, July 1 from 8:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. VBS is open to kids who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade.

E.J. and Brenda will celebrate their 50th anniversary next month.

E.J. and Brenda (Douglas) Carter of Fayetteville will celebrate their 50th anniversary next month.

They were married June 10, 1961 in Alcoa, Tenn., by the late Rev. W. H. Lodwick.

Their family includes children Scott (Melissa) Carter of Fayetteville, Tamara (Jimmy) Fischer of Senoia and Melinda (Rod) Owen of Brooks.
