Senoia is one of nine stops on the Georgia Cities "2010 Heart and Soul Tour."

Senoia was one of nine stops on this year’s Georgia Cities “2010 Heart and Soul Tour” Wednesday morning. Business leaders, developers and state representatives arrived in the the city’s historic downtown area, taking time in the one-hour stop-over to visit a number of businesses and explore recent downtown development. Members of the City Council, Downtown Development Authority and business owners were on hand to welcome the busload of guests from around Georgia. The tour is sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association.

Newnan and the Carnegie honored by the Georgia Trust

The City of Newnan and the Carnegie has received the award for Excellence in Rehabilitation from The Georgia Trust. The award was presented April 9 during The Georgia Trust’s Spring Ramble in Rome, Georgia at the DeSoto Theatre. Mayor Keith Brady was at the award ceremony to accept the award on behalf of the city. Armchair Travelers bring a “Taste of South Africa” to the Carnegie

Travel to South Africa through the Carnegie’s newest series ‘Armchair Travelers.’ The series speaker for the month of April is Denise Best.

Saint Joseph’s Health System and Piedmont Healthcare on April 9 announced the signing of a letter agreement to enter exclusive negotiations to create a new partnership in the form of a Joint Operating Company. Both Piedmont Healthcare and Saint Joseph’s are nationally recognized healthcare systems known for their quality, service to the community, and outstanding medical staffs.

Tea Parties in PTC, Newnan on Tax Day this Thursday

This time last year a small handful of people in Fayette and Coweta counties decided to mirror similar efforts planned across America by protesting their dissatisfaction with the federal government at Tea Party rallies on April 15. Hundreds attended the local rallies.
