They will observe the occasion by enjoying a brunch with family on June 24 at Rays on the River.

The Senoia Area Historical Society is establishing a research library in the museum and is looking for material that would help document and preserve the history of Senoia and the surrounding area.
If you would like to donate any items such as books, newspaper articles, church directories, school yearbooks, photographs, digital photos, etc. the society would be grateful.  Items will become part of the society's collection and will be treated as historic treasures.

Judicial candidates to square off in Senoia

Residents of Senoia and the surrounding communities on June 19 will have an opportunity to hear comments from two candidates, Emory Palmer and Kevin McMurry, aspiring for the position of Coweta County Superior Court Judge. There will be an opportunity to ask questions after their opening comments.

The landmark Senoia Coffee & Cafe was transformed Wednesday into the Woodbury Coffee House as part of the set for “The Walking Dead” television show that is currently filming in downtown Senoia. ‘The Walking Dead’ zombies poised to invade Senoia

It looks like the beginnings of a theater in the vacant lot on the south side of Main Street in Senoia. But it’s not. And it looks like a revamping of the railroad complete with boxcars at Main and Gin streets. But it’s not.

Senoia rocks on Memorial Day

One has to look no further than Senoia to find a massive celebration each Memorial Day. That was the case again this year when thousands of people converged on the downtown area for the festivities that began Monday morning and ended after sunset.

As usual, the center of the day’s event was downtown at Main Street and Seavy Street where the stage and speakers were positioned. And those events began at 10:30 a.m. with a performance by the Georgia Dolls Baton Twirlers and was followed with songs from 15 year-old Krysta Nick. Read More»

Mr. (R.E.) "Papa Gene" Stell, Jr. of Senoia passed away on May 29, 2012.

Mr. Stell was retired from Delta Air Lines after 33 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Surls Stell; sons, Brian Stell and his wife, Zannett of Villa Rica; Joe Stell and his wife, Kathy of Fayetteville; Mike Stell and his wife, Maria of Atlanta; and Keith Stell and his wife, Jill of Douglasville; sister, Huldah Short of Senoia; 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
